The good folks at Summer of Rum Festival threw a massive rum tasting party in historic Ybor City of Tampa and yours truly was one of the lucky bloggers to experience the event complimentary VIP style courtesy of the festival organizers, Big City Events. August 16th was National Day of Rum. I have no idea who declared this momentous occasion, but God bless them. Hello Outdoorsy friends! Last Friday I was afforded an awesome opportunity via my affiliation with Tampa Bay Bloggers and courtesy of Whole Foods Market to attend a Wines of Italy class at Whole Foods Market, Carrollwood. They already have that tasty buffet of deliciousness in the cafe and I get lots of natural hair and skin products from there, but I had not actually purchased or sampled their wine. This weekend I had quite the adventure on a kid-free weekend at Walt Disney World (WDW) Resort. Yes…KID-FREE! Many people don’t realize the fun you can have when you do Disney World “grown-up style”. Being a Florida resident has many perks and one of the perks I’m just getting into is being an annual passholder at WDW. Right now it’s International Food and Wine Festival (FWF) at Epcot. Ah…the picturesque 3 mile mark of a 4 mile kayak trip at Weedon Island, Saint Petersburg, FL. Peaceful, calming, relaxing, right? It was all of the above.
