Howl-O-Scream 2016 Review and Tips

howl-o-scream

For the 2nd year in a row Busch Gardens has invited me to the opening night events for Howl-O-Scream, one of the premier Halloween haunted events in the whole state of Florida. This year we were provided with VIP entry and skip the line passes to ensure we would get through all of the houses.  2 new haunted houses were introduced along with new scare zones for the 2016 themed, Evil Encore, and they did not disappoint.  I hope you enjoy this Howl-o-Scream 2016 review and I hope it is helpful in making your plans to attend  this year’s festivities. Top 10 Reasons to Visit Tybee Island Georgia

When many people think of a Georgia vacation, they think of old plantations, magnolia trees lining cobblestone roads, and sweet tea.  Just 13 miles east of Savannah, GA you can immerse yourself in a whole different kind of Georgia. A short 30 minute drive and you can find yourself cruising along streets lined by painted sea turtle signs, dotted with little whole-in-the-wall restaurants with the best food you never knew about, and miles of sandy beaches along the Atlantic coastline. This is Tybee Island, Georgia, well-known to locals, but virtually unknown to many out-of-state visitors. Glamping at Westgate River Ranch Dude Ranch

I’m a birthday person. I believe in celebrating your birthday as big and bold as you possibly can because anytime you get a chance to see another full year of life it’s worth celebrating. The last few years I’ve forgone the party or the dinner with friends. Instead I’ve chosen to celebrate my birthday on some kind of travel adventure. This year I decided I wanted to do something really different but in lieu of an international trip it would be a domestic trip. Not to worry — what it lacked in distance it made up for in uniqueness. I spent this year’s 10th annual Laurentines Day on a glamping adventure at a Florida dude ranch! (If you’re new here, Laurentines Day is the national holiday that IS my birthday)

Just an hour and half from Tampa is the Westgate River Ranch, a real life dude ranch in the Lake Wales area.  2 of my close friends came along for the fun and we completely immersed ourselves into the Cowgirl way of life over an extended weekend of adventure, laughter, and new experiences.  Read More »
