Spring Break Giveaway: Valspar Championship 2015

I have a fantastic announcement!  I was invited to attend the Valspar Championship 2015, part of the PGA Tour that comes to Innisbrook in Palm Harbor, Florida.   Thanks to Valspar Championship, you can win tickets in this sponsored giveaway to attend a day at the tournament.

This year the tournament is March 9 – 15th on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook.   It just so happens to coincide with Hillsborough county spring break dates.   Can you say “Winning”?!  I am always looking for new and unique ways to spend spring break with the kiddos and enjoy the outdoors.   Attending this golf championship is perfect for my family because my guys are really into golf.   The big guy and my 15 year old son watch a lot of Golf Channel and go to the driving range and the course frequently.   The 6 year old enjoys going to whack the balls at the range.

I know that a golf tournament won’t be the most exciting thing to hold the attention of a 6 year old, or me for that matter, for the entire time.   The great news is that Valspar Championship aims to be an extremely family friendly event with plenty of activities away from the action taking place on the course.

Here is a list of the fun non-golf activities to look forward to at the Valspar Championship:

Valspar Color
Color scouts will be roaming the course looking for the most colorfully dressed fans, who will be awarded prizes.

Valspar “Shot Spots”
Shot Spots will encourage attendees to get snap happy and social; these four designated Shot Spots around the course will provide a lively backdrop for fun family photos. Photos at these locations tagged with #valsparchampionship will be eligible for the chance to win prizes.

Valspar Color Experience 2015, located behind the 18th green.
Will feature lawn games plus a menu of indoor activities. Surprise autograph sessions with PGA TOUR players will be announced periodically in this space, as well.

Jabil Family Fun Zone
An expanded Jabil Family Fun Zone presented by Publix is going up in the area near the 8th green with a 16-foot climbing wall and 9-hole putting course among other activities.  It also will be the congregating spot for mascots from various area sports teams, such as the Lightning’s Thunderbug. The Valspar Championship offers free admission for all of those aged 15 and under if accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Valspar Live
Free concert featuring the Grammy Award-winning country artists The Band Perry after play on the Osprey Driving Range.

Frenchy’s Pool Party
Relax and enjoy the concessions on the covered pool deck located behind the 18th green.

Bright House Sports Network Pavilion (between 10 tee and 18 green)
Tires Plus Driving Range
Michelob ULTRA 19th Hole
Beringer Wine Bar
(overlooking the Putting Green)
Fan Expo Area
Baycare Health & Wellness Station

I’m really looking forward to the special preview event on this Friday where I will get  more details on all of the fun activities that they have planned.  Stay tuned for that review so that you know what to expect during all of the exciting action taking place next week!

The giveaway is underway from now through Friday!  Good luck!

I would love to go to Valspar Championship. The Band Perry is one of my favorites, and a day on the links sounds like a lot of fun. So much to do in the Bay area this time of year.

Jackie I just learned who Band Perry was when they performed on the Grammy Stevie Wonder tribute. I’m not really into country but I enjoyed them. I’m certain they will put on a great show! Good luck!!
