Zephyrhills Spring Water Celebrates 50th Anniversary

This past weekend Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water hosted a Zephyrhills Community Open House: Celebration of 50 Years! For my Florida readers you understand what a very big deal this is because for us, Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water is a household name! In fact you’d be hard pressed to find a Florida resident who hasn’t had Zephyrhills spring water. Since 1964, Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water has been sourced from natural, sustainable springs in Florida. These include the nearby Crystal Springs Preserve.

As part of the 50th anniversary festivities, the community was invited to experience a free day of family fun which included a tour of the state-of-the-art bottling facility, a barbecue lunch, face painting, and games.

A popular activity for the day was the WaterVentures Learning Lab. Florida’s WaterVentures Learning Lab, which traveled to more than 250 schools this past year and is supported by the Zephyrhills brand, is a traveling science center that teaches families and youth about environmental stewardship. Kids and their families were able to visit the WaterVentures lab, which features watershed tables, recycling exhibits, a relief map of Florida’s water features and a display of a Florida aquifer. It was a great way to learn hands-on about protecting Florida’s natural resources.

The event wasn’t just all fun and games. Zephyrhills® Brand 100% Natural Spring Water donated a whopping $50,000 in honor of its 50^thanniversary and its commitment to preserving Florida’s natural water resources to Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and Tampa Bay Watch. The funding donated by the Zephyrhills brand will be shared by these organizations to help support clean up and education events at parks along the Hillsborough River, and help to preserve Tampa Bay. I just love to see brands that I love and use everyday put their verbal commitments into tangible action for the communities that sustain them.
